We welcome Olav Botnen to Volt Power Analytics. He joined the team from the beginning of May as our Nordic Power Market Expert. He is also one of our co-founders. Olav is among the most experienced Nordic power market analysts with over 30 years of experience within the field. His expertise also covers Continental European power markets, alongside other commodities.
He has been instrumental in establishing and operating EMPS simulation models for the Nordic area in Sintef Energy Research. He then spent 28 years as a market expert in Markedskraft/MKonline/Wattsight/Volue Insight, focused on the forward and long-term time horizon. Over the recent 5 years he has been involved in analysis of generic and site-specific wind and solar generation sources, including capture price and PPA analysis.
